The Aphilliates own DJ Drama has become one of the new premier DJs gaining respect in the mixtape game. This year he was voted Best Mixtape DJ by Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 and nominated for Best South DJ at this year’s Justo MixTape Awards. But this is not the only branch that the world famous 25-year old can claim on his DJ tree. This award-winning DJ, father, writer, and lecturer based in Atlanta began his career in the early 90’s on the Philly hip-hop scene. He has been featured in such publications as XXL, The Source, Spin, Urb, The Village Voice & The Atlanta-Journal Constitution. MTV has also done a feature of his work on Mixtape Mondays & MTV.com. DJ Drama frequently DJs some of Atlanta’s biggest parties for the likes of P.Diddy, Allen Iverson, Jermaine Dupri & Lil Jon. During this year’s Super Bowl, he rocked at many of Houston’s premier parties.
