Hardy Indiigo Biography

“Indigo Children is a pseudoscientific label given to children who are claimed to possess special, unusual and/or supernatural traits or abilities. Some children are being born with a more highly developed spiritual power than earlier generations.” Originally from Congo, but raised in France, already established French rapper, HARDY INDIIGO born Hardy Muanza, has decided to advance his musical career by further developing his talents as a producer/composer in Hip Hop, R&B, and House/Electro music. Currently based in New York, he works with various artists in creating innovative sounds and captivating musical textures. “When Parisian taste meets downtown New York, Hardy Indiigo is the result.” In 1993, 14 year-old Hardy became actively involved in music, as a member of the Wanted Posse/Yusiness (dancers and rappers), under the name J.o.k.e. While Wanted was growing to become a world renowned group of dancers, Yusiness shook the French Hip Hop game with acclaimed rap freestyles and mix tapes. Only a performer and songwriter at that time, Hardy was already highly engaged in any creative process ranging from selecting visual designs to the choice of instrumentals. In 2001, he formed “Hitmakers & Co.,” a vanguard musical duo in the French urban scene. This fruitful partnership created the acclaimed album “Storyboard” in 2004. Distributed by Nouvelle Donne/Universal Music France, “Storyboard” was enthusiastically welcomed by critics and magazines, especially for its various trendsetting influences of Hip Hop, R&B, Rock and Electro music. While creating the album, Hardy played a leading and inspirational role by composing a majority of the songs, writing all the lyrics, and performing. He also directed their video “X-Files,” which has been regularly rotated on MTV France, MCM, and Trace TV. Discovering his talents as a composer and producer, Hardy expanded his scope to House and Electro music. He successfully created his first music production project, the soundtrack for the Wanted Posse’s DVD. The soundtrack was distributed by TF1, the first public channel in France. Hardy’s love of music and passion to create inspire and greatly impact his lifestyle. By filling a gap in Paris’ nightlife, he has organized many parties under the name “Club des Millionnaires (CDM).” The “Club des Millionnaires” has evolved to become a production company which showcases the ingenuity of Hardy’s artistic approach. One of Hardy’s latest ventures includes a collaboration with LA recording artist/songwriter Betty Trouble. Her vocals are featured on Hardy’s “Dirty Blonde” track. Hardy describes this track as “when the 80’s meets 2020” with an infectious hook and deafening bassline that support flirty, naughty wordplay. The track will soon be taking radio by storm. Recently, Hardy produced and co-wrote the song “Superstar” on Madonna’s MDNA album. He also collaborated with Madonna as a musical director and dj for The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project and the Macy’s launch party of her Material Girl Clothing Line. Most recently, Hardy “kept the party moving” as dj for Madonna’s 2012 Oscar After Party, “The Party.” Undoubtedly, Hardy Indiigo is the composer/producer you want if you are looking for a “fresh, urban and electro soulful sound.” While on his way to accomplish extraordinary feats, with both feet planted firmly on the ground and ideas in the sky, Hardy’s personality and vision are his most intriguing assets.
